If you run a bank, real estate agency, travel office, beauty salon, or another service business, you probably need to show your customers where to find you. MakeMeMap helps you create a map with your business locations and share or embed it on your website or even in emails. The main advantages of MakeMeMap are that you can add a virtually unlimited number of locations (Google Maps Embed allows you to show only one location), predictable pricing with a great free plan, and very fast maps.

Below, you can find an example map with offices of a real estate agency in France.

Let's see how to create such a map:

  • Create an account at makememap.com (we don’t ask for personal details or a credit card — you only need to enter your email and password, so it takes just a minute). After entering your email and password and clicking Register, you will be redirected to the MakeMeMap web app.
  • Click + to create a new map and open the map editor (you can create up to 5 maps with a free account).
  • Add a marker. This can be done in two ways: by right-clicking (or using a two-finger tap on a touchpad) anywhere on the map, or by clicking the + Marker icon in the left sidebar.
  • After adding a marker, you can customize its appearance and add a popup title, description, image, and button title/URL. In the map above, I used a house icon as the marker. For each popup, I added information about working hours, address, and a button to open navigation in the user's default navigation application.
  • The final step is to set the map name, description, and legend appearance and style. To do this, open the map configuration in the left sidebar near the map name. The map settings will appear in the right sidebar. There, you can find a URL to share the map or copy the HTML embed code for your website, blog, or CMS. For this example, I decided to hide the legend to make the map look cleaner, as it will be embedded on a website.

That's it — your map is ready. You can copy the link and share it or embed it on a website, CMS, or anywhere you can insert HTML. No coding is required, and no developers are needed to manage map data. You can easily add, remove, or edit locations in the map editor. All changes will be visible to users after they reload the map or open it again.

And one more thing — maps created with MakeMeMap don’t collect any user data, so you don’t need to show GDPR or privacy warning popups like with Google Maps.

What can be created with MakeMeMap

Below are real examples of maps that can be created with MakeMeMap:

Why not embed Google Maps

Google Maps Embed allows you to add only one location, and users will see competitors and promoted places by Google.

Why not Google Maps API / Mapbox and other low-level options

To create a map with low-level tools, you need a developer or AI tools to generate code. However, this requires more time, testing, and is usually more expensive. You also need to build a UI to manage locations in most cases, especially if you are a non-technical user. That’s why you can create a map with MakeMeMap in minutes and spend your time on something else.
