How to add, customize, and delete popups for a marker
You can add a popup to each marker, polygon, polyline, or route on a map. A popup is a view that displays information (text, an image, a button) when you click or tap on a marker, polygon, polyline, or route.
For example, on the map below, you can click on a marker to see a popup with a title, text, an image, and a button with a link.
How to add a popup
- Go to app.makememap.com and open the map where you want to add a popup.
- Click on a marker on the map or select it from the list in the left sidebar.
- The marker settings will appear on the right side.
- In the Popup section, you can set a title, text, add an image, and set the URL that should be opened when a user clicks the popup button. If you don't fill in a field, that element will be hidden. For example, if you don’t insert or upload an image, the popup will not display one.
How to delete a popup
- Click on a marker on the map or select it from the list in the left sidebar.
- The marker settings will appear on the right side.
- Clear all fields in the Popup section.
- The popup will no longer be shown when you click on that marker.
